Mourvèdre
Barahonda Summum is one of the most limited production wines from Bodegas Barahonda, a family with winemaking tradition since 1850 in Yecla. Made 100% from Monastrell from ungrafted vines, the oldest in the house, located between 400 and 800 meters above sea level on limestone soils, poor in organic matter. After maceration-fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is transferred to barrels to complete malolactic fermentation and aged for 16 months in American (90%) and French (10%) oak, unfiltered to preserve all its qualities. With an intense cherry red color, it shows intense aromas of candied fruit and soft toasts on the nose. On the palate, it is broad, meaty, and structured, with a sweet, friendly, enveloping, and persistent background.
