"Organic Pansa Blanca from Alella, 20 minutes from Barcelona: fresh, citrusy, and with the Mediterranean's saline touch."

Description

Vora la Mar is the freshest and most accessible white from Alta Alella, a family winery founded in 1991 at the Can Genís estate, nestled in the Natural Park of the Serralada de Marina, just 20 minutes from Barcelona and a few kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. Its name —which in Catalan means "by the sea"— perfectly sums up the spirit of this wine: fresh, saline, and with an unmistakable Mediterranean character. Made with 100% Pansa Blanca (the local name for Xarel·lo in Alella) from certified organic viticulture, grown on the characteristic sauló soils —granite sand with great permeability— at altitudes between 150 and 300 meters. The harvest is done manually and the must ferments at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, with a part aged on its own lees to gain texture and complexity. The result is a light, clean, and crystalline white, with citrus and floral aromas and a subtle saline touch that evokes the freshness of the nearby Mediterranean. On the palate, it is vibrant, with good texture and balanced acidity, easy to drink and with a great capacity to accompany Mediterranean cuisine.
