Tempranillo, Grenache
El Andén de la Estación is the freshest and most contemporary red wine from Bodegas Muga, a family winery with specific certification in environmental sustainability, a pioneer in this recognition among Spanish wineries. Made with Tempranillo and Garnacha from a manual harvest with selection in the vineyard and refrigerated truck transport to preserve aromatic freshness, it ferments at controlled temperature with moderate extractions, prioritizing the fruit and the wine's natural tension. It undergoes 14 months of aging in French oak barrels, first use for Tempranillo and second use for Garnacha, followed by a minimum of 9 months of bottle aging. With a medium-intensity cherry red color, bright and expressive, it shows great freshness and fruit expressiveness on the nose, dominated by strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, with floral notes and a very subtle spicy background where Garnacha clearly defines the profile. On the palate, it is light on entry, juicy and very fresh, with fine tannins, good tension, and a lively, balanced, and very fruity finish.
